Leghorns (help)

Ok great we are not free ranging but I will keep two waterers a feeder and through feed out every day after school in the coop :) Thanks a lot I think I'm going to try one in our flock this year
If you only get one, don't judge all leghorns by that one. They all have unique personalities. Some just love to be held but others will scream bloody murder if you just look at them wrong, that'stobeginwith. As long as you handle them dailey, once they get use to it, you'll have a best friend that will follow you around like a puppy. And as for egg production, you can't beat them. If you'll keep them cooped up for the first month they lay, they will come back to the nests to lay even when you free range them. If by some chance you get one that forgets the game plan and decides to play Hide and Seek with the rent/eggs, just quit letting them free range for about a week or two and they'll get back with the nest program. If you like jumbo eggs, they're the birds for you.
