JERSEY GIANTS: Feed for best egg production. (for hatching)

I currently have Black Jersey Giants, they are laying, but most are small eggs. I was wondering if it was maybe the feed I'm giving them that is causing the small sized eggs or if the eggs are just supposed to vary. I am getting some large but out of 18 eggs only 4 were large.

I am feeding them egg layer pellets from our local feed mill. any suggestions or gained experience with this problem?
