Hens stop laying after their first eggs... Worrying...

Hi guys, My girls are not laying since their first eggs. I posted their pix as well as their very first eggs in my previous threads...

However, just when I started expecting more lovely eggs would be coming, they stopped completely... and I notice, they are making

some screaming, not loud, but continuous. A bit like they are complaining about something, even though their coop has had no any change.

Any idea why this is happening? Many thanks....

Sounds like they are working on another egg. Eggs songs can get loud and the entire flock will join in sometimes.

Pullets wont start laying and provide an egg every day there after. They are still working out the reproductive thing and can be very sporatic laying for the next three weeks. Then everything gets into a groove.

How long without eggs from first are we talking about?
