What makes the yolks a deeper yellow or bright orange? My customers love the color of my girls eggs.

Thank you.!

The extra vitamins and minerals they get eating bugs and plants instead of just dry feed. If you have marigolds, that will color the yolk too.

You need to feed a feed or supplement rich in Carotenoid (Beta carotene), and Xanthophyll.

Free Ranging will help some but supplementing some whole yellow, alfalfa meal, cooked sweet potatoes and or pumpkin puree should turn the yolks a nice rich orange color.
