Hen with growth/swollen lump on toe. **Pics included**

I have a small two year old RIR hen and I just noticed a lump on the side of one of her toes. She's not limping at all but I was wondering what it is.

I thought could it be the start of Bumblefoot? Whatever it is should I leave it or do something about it?

Thanks!

It looks like pododermatitis or bumble foot. Soak the foot in Epsom salts for a day or two. Then remove the scab and try to squeeze out the pus kernel. Go to the top of this page, enter bumble foot in the search box, and you will find many threads on the subject.
