Any advice welcomed; Chicken medical issue;
One of my chickens started making a wheezing/crying sound with occasional chirps this evening after spending day free-ranging.
Her eyes are clear
No nasal discharge
no coughing
She was scratching at her head, occasionally
her comb looks normal, legs look normal
I gave her a scrambled egg with a little molasses and she ate it.
I gave her bread soaked in olive oil and she ate some.

We placed a dog crate with bedding, water, food with oyster shell into the cage and she did eventually settle/quiet down and stop her wheezing/crying; we left her in the cage because the other chickens were bothering her, which is unusual.

Any advice or thoughts are much appreciated.

My only insight is that I did feel her crop and it felt firm, off to the right and I heard digestive sounds; I did gently massage her crop.

Thank you all!

Welcome to BYC. It could be a condition called stridor, which is a high pitched sound on both inhaling and exhaling from something in the airway which could be mucus, a piece of food, or a foreign body. This sometimes goes away in a short time, but if it persists past tomorrow morning, I would look into her throat with a flashlight for anything unusual. An overly full crop might cause this. I would stick to just her usual chicken feed tomorrow. Massage her crop in the morning if it still seems full.
