Today is a happy day for us! Sadly, one of our chickens died a couple of weeks ago, so we only had one chicken left; our naked neck turken

I started feeling bad because the poor girl seemed lonely, so today, we got some chicks!

They are Speckled Sussex Pullets! The big one is named Pepper, while the small one is named Piper. Cute little things! We have to wait one more week before we can officially let them out into the big coop with Turken, but I'm so excited! Turken seemed a little uncomfortable a first, but I'm sure she'll get used to them :). For now, we'll put them in a smaller coop and place them in the garage until next week (don't worry, they have heat!)

Here they are looking around at their surroundings.

Here they are eating their food! I had to change their containor since they kept having to climg into it to eat, haha.

And my favorite picture, Pepper sitting on my lap :).

Congratulations on the SS! I have 2 in my mixed flock and really enjoy them.

It might help your 3 birds get used to each other if you give them some time to see one another without being able to touch before you try mixing them together.

Good luck with your integration!
