Aye y'all. Me and my buddy are looking into raising chickens for eggs and meat and may end up sellin some chicks. What are the best chickens
 
It depends on how many can you have, are you looking for birds that can do both ok, or are you thinking you want different types for eggs and meat. There are dual purpose birds, that people use for both layers and meat and while they do both things OK there are breeds that do each better. Cornish cross are considered the meat king, they grow fast and big giving lots of breast meat. These birds though are hard to keep healthy enough yo get to laying age. There are many layers out there that will give you an egg almost every day, but they are very small and will not give you much meat.
