Three of my eggs i bought from a women were already veining when i got them. I put them on lockdown 2 days ago. the other 9 i have been continuing to turn.. I believe i did the math wrong on the lockdown.... Is there honestly a huge problem if you miscalculate the date of arrival and stop turning them and then start turning them again? I'm going to check the chicks again in a couple of minutes to see if they are still alive. I know some of them are for sure because the eggs have been shaking. They are all on different times of arrival since some were veining before i got them on the 13th... Any words of advice would be greatly appreciated i'm so worried about them drowning!!

I have only done a few hatches my self but from what I have read, there is not a huge problem with locking down too early. I have read that turning is most important in the first few days. What day do you think your eggs are on? Have the eggs that showed veins when you received them continued to develop?

thank you for the reply, none of them made it sadly :( I think i will stick to the natural wat for a little while. once i get my coop finished i will get a broody hen and place some fertile eggs under her
