Don't know if this is normal coloring for bruising on a chicken... I will let it air out over night and take new photos tomorrow. The swelling is almost completely gone. She lays in nesting box all day. S by know if I should make her stay out or let her rest.

Sorry that I haven't answered you for a while, but I think that is normal for a bruise. I'm glad to see that she's gotten better! I would probably let her rest if she needs to, but check on her every once in a while and get her too walk a little. What ever happened to the blood bubble? How is she doing now?

Her leg is fine, healed nicely. But she's still is broody all healed up and she doesn't produce eggs and is trying to kill my chicks. Wife wants to send her to freezer camp.
