I searched the forums last night, looking for advice. Saw numerous posts on, "Duck can't walk" and none of them were very encouraging. Yesterday evening one of my ducks was in the pool, while all the rest (9) were out of the pool and on the ground, ready to go, 'night night'. I walked over to the one in the pool, and she stayed there, which is unusual as all of them are skittish and wont let me very near them. I picked her up, set her on the ground, and she could not walk. She lay on her keel and moved herself with her wings, and paddled her legs behind her. Crap! I thought. Just minutes before they ALL walked into their pen from the field. I was beat, from working all day, thought about bringing her in the house for the night, but wasnt too excited about having to gather all the neccessary cage, towels, dishes for food and water............ Anyway, I decided to leave her in the coop over night, with the other ducks, they were not attacking, or pestering her, so I went for it. This morning, I opened the coop door, and they ALL came pouring out, she was all better. I kept an eye on the one i suspected was the injured one, and shes been fine all day.

This is the second time I've had an injured duck bounce back, they are tough little things.
