Its funny how excited as chicken owners we get to find out girl or boy and my red sex links look the same excepts with a few more bald patches but boy do they like to be in charge and protect the little chicks. The whole thing can be maddening!

This is my Maran rooster. He is 3 1/2 weeks old.

That is a seriously developed comb! Queenies comb is a fraction of that size, so Im going to stick with pullet (at least until she crows! lol)

Yes, I agree. I love the Red Sex Links because it is just simple! Silver is cockerel, red/brown is pullet. We have a Easter Egger pullet that we thought was a rooster for like five months. About a month ago we realized that she was a hen when we saw her lay an egg! smile.png We almost got rid of her because we thought she was a rooster and now we are super glad we didn't. She is so sweet!
