How high or low should my roost be if I am going to clip their wings?

I like step up roosts with the first one being about a foot off the ground, than each one being a foot higher.
Chickens, muscovy ducks, turkeys, donkeys , goats, dogs, fish, parakeets, a parrot, and a cat.

Chickens and dogs are healing to the soul.

I brake for squirrels.

Some of my birds.
