Hello! I have 2 hens that I have had since they were chicks.. They are about 2 years old... They are Super bossy.. My 100lb pitbull can't stand up to them half the time..But I really want to get 2 more chickens since our coop is so large. What is the best way to go about that?

Hi and welcome to BYC. I'd suggesting clicking on this link

http://www.backyardchickens.com/newsearch?search=integrating+new+chickens+into+a+flock

theres lots of info there. @aart has written a very good article on the subject - if you search for aart I seem to recall a link to the article being in the posts that have been made.

All the best

Welcome to BYC! I'm glad you joined us! :)

I set fire to the rain! Watch it pour as I, touched your face. Well it burn while I cried, because I heard it screaming out your name. And I threw us into flames. I knew that was the last time, the last time...I set fire to the rain! -Adele

Welcome to Backyard Chickens.  Since you have such a large coop- maybe you can divide it(with wire) to keep chicks and hens separate, as well as their outdoor run. After your hens are not trying to kill them through the fencing - and the chicks are bigger - you may be able to combine them.
