Growing brussels sprouts!

Last year I planted brussels sprout seeds in my garden. they were doing really good until later in the summer when they started getting bigger and they started opening up like flowers!!! I live in the bottom left corner of South Dakota. Can anyone help me so that I can have BIG, ROUND, sprouts this year!

Try checking out Cisco Morris online. He is a master Gardner here in WA state (who is from Wisconsin), and he is a Specialest on growing Brussels Sprouts. He has a web site. You can probably submit questions to him also. Good Luck! I love Brussels Sprouts! :)
