Hi,

I am new to this forum but have read lots of useful information here below deciding to get two runners.

I picked up two indian runners on Sunday and the chap I got them from said he was pretty sure they were females but couldn't be 100%. I can't tell by their voice yet and they don't have any curly feathers on their tails. Is there any way I can see them for sure at 4-5 weeks old?

They are plenty old enough to vent sex. You may even hear the girls quack at this age. You will be able to sex them long before the drake curl feathers in. I can sex with 100% accuracy by 2 weeks.

Hi, thanks for this. I wasn't sure how old they needed to be to vent sex them so wanted to hold back till I got some advise. Having just done it they look like two females which is exactly what I wanted :)
