Moscovey

I have a friend who is going to invest in my micro urban farm. Starting with moscovies. I am having a hard time finding out details like what to feed them and minimal space requirements. I have a good size back yard and will partially free range. I want to hatch from eggs and I want to keep a breeding trio for eggs and new stock. I know I will be harvesting a young ducks for meat. I also am planning on getting silkies and cornex quail. I would like to mix sillies with the ducks. Will they raise other birds? I don't know where to look for all this info.

Waterfowl are fine on a all purpose feed like Flock Raiser. When your ducks start laying you can offer oyster shells for extra calcium. You'll want to check out your city's ordinances though because most will not allow for free ranged fowl. Silkies will be fine hatching and raising ducklings but the inverse does not work. Mother ducks taking a chick swimming can be fatal since they were not designed for water.
