I'm certainly no expert, but moving "home" and (likely) different feeds are likely to affect the appearance and form of their poo. I hope that the link provides the assistance you need.

About 2 weeks ago I noticed she was being attacked and chased off by their her chickens. They are rescue chickens we've had for about 6 months. On closer inspection she was really thin and her crown is small and pale. She was covered in red mite so we treated the chickens and the hutch. She was isolated and has been so for the past 2 weeks. The remaining chickens were passed to a friend who has an allotment and has a full set up as we could no longer look after them. I now have one still under weight chuck that I need to help improve her health or she may have to be put to sleep.

Does this mean you have only the one chicken now? As far as I know, chickens are very sociable creatures and their pecking order might not make sense to us but keeps them healthy and happy all the same. Perhaps she is under more stress now that her flock is gone and she's all by herself? I'm not really sure in this matter though so hopefully someone with more experience can respond to this. There is the learning centre too that has some really wonderful information, perhaps there's something there to help you!

Good luck, hope she feels better and you find the help you need!

It looks like she may have worms.

If you want assistance with your hen, please make a new thread for her. :)

Thank you!
