Weak or Shell-less Eggs for Several Months - Page 2

I also suggest not giving any snacks. I see this often where people give other foods all the time then the hen ends up with an unbalanced diet. Also if you're buying too much feed at a time, it loses beneficial vitamins and minerals very fast due to no preservatives. Have you looked in her mouth for white/yellow lesions?

Tucs, you solved our problem! I started giving them ground up eggshell (which I had stopped using about six months ago)  and she started having normal eggs almost immediately. She has not dropped any shell-less eggs and had a normal egg now four days in a row. I am so relieved that the problem is solved and can't thank you enough for helping me!

Ann, I am so happy I could help you. Mine is unfortunately still sick, but it looks like she is slowly recovering. Best of luck 🍀
