I need help with hatching eggs PLEASE!

I have some eggs that were due to go in lock-down tomorrow, however, one decided to pip this morning ... as of 10:30 tonight it has fully hatched. There are no signs of pipping on any of the other eggs. Because this happened before lock-down, I did not have a chance to remove the auto turner. Now that the chick is fully hatched and there is no more pipping in any of the other eggs, should I remove the turner? If so, will the affect the temp?

I use broodies so I'm unfamiliar with auto turners. If one chick hatched OK I would think others could hatch out too, with no problem. The turning of the egg will not hurt of itself. I do not think removing the turner would effect the egg.

At the top of this page is a box labeled "advanced search". Try asking there. I would think that if you type in, removing automatic turner at lockdown, you will get some threads that discuss this. Good luck.
 
I would go ahead and remove the turner and proceed with lockdown. The turner probably wouldn't affect the other eggs but I've read about issues after hatch with the turner still installed - chicks getting stuck in it, etc.

Did you get it out? Yes, taking the turner out is better than leaving it in and yes, often times when you take it out you have to adjust for temps. A lot of the turner motors give off heat and if you don't have a bator w/thermostat you may notice the difference.
 
Yes, I went ahead and took it out. The rest of the eggs were still fully intact, no pipping yet. I was worried because the one that hatched would climb on the turner and get his legs caught. I figured I needed to get it out before the others started to hatch because of the humidity change. So, turner is out, eggs are resting comfortably, and chick that hatched is getting ready to be moved to the brooder box today. :) Thank you for the information. No, I am impatiently waiting for the rest :)
 
Thats what had me worried. The one that hatched would climb on the turner and get its legs caught in the holes. I figured while it was safe I would remove it then I dont have to panic lol :)
