I have 2 ducklings born yesterday and they have the comfort 25 chick heat plate but they won't go under it and I'm scared they are going to get cold
I placed them under it myself and they stay for a few seconds and then come out and sit down by their waterbowl instead, it's not too warm under there as I felt underneath and can leave my hand on it without it getting too hot.
Will they be ok for the night? Am I better off buying a heat lamp instead so it makes the whole of one end warm rather than just under the plate?
