Male or female Cuckoo Maran?

I also have a question about my 4-5 week old suspected cuckoo marans cross. I'm calling it a "she"; she is very calm and likes to cuddle, not aggressive towards the other birds, always roosts the highest up, LOVES to dust bathe. Any thoughts? I have some other marans cross chicks that don't have the cuckoo markings that have a slight appearance of red wattles at this point, but she doesn't. Thanks!
Looks like you have a pullet.

Thanks for the input! I've noticed her doing some very "head hen" behavior in the last few days, so fingers crossed!! I'll post some more photos in a few weeks once I know for sure :)

This one was sexed and we only got 2. Apparently they were wrong. We live in a housing community that doesn't even allow chickens so he is going to be going to a new home :-(
So just found out, and am pretty mad about it, that the 2 BCMs I bought, were incorrectly labled, they just said "Black Marans" on the sign, so when I asked which they were the lady at the feed store pointed to the chart of chickens that they ordered and got in and said "We only ordered these ones!" pointing at the BCMs. So naturally I was like cool, I will take 2 please. Then I strategically bought 2 Cuckoo Marans from another feed store and was thrilled to have both. Well my BCMs turned out with baring pattern so I asked, do BCMs start out that way, and responses of course were no, those are Cuckoo! So turns out I have 4 Cuckoo Marans! But thats ok, they may not lay dark dark brown like BCMs but they are still darker than Welsmmer!
