Coop size question?

I have a larger coop, but it also has a second level the chickens can walk up into. Does the second level count towards the square footage? My coop now is about 4x14 feet not including the second level. The second level has some roosts and an area where the nesting boxes are. We enclosed a coop inside a shed so chickens couldnt escape when I open the shed door. There is a run outside as well. I'm just trying to figure it out so I can estimate how many chickens I could fit in there.

I would definitely say it counts as long as they have 24 hour access to it!!

It can count, only if your chickens use it. Its also good to bear in mind that the space recommendations are minimum ones - the more space you have, the better it is for a flock.
