Hello everyone my name is Brandi, I'm 33 years old and I am just starting out in raising chickens. I love all animals accept for snakes, I currently have four dogs along with my chickens. I am hoping to start breeding and raising chickens and so by next year I'll probably have chicks to sell. I researched, talked to breeders and to professionals before deciding to raise chickens because you're making a commitment to these animals and taking a full responsibility just like with any animal. My chickens are treated lovingly and I buy the best food possible for them. I've socialized and imprint on them while very young, I snuggle, cuddle, and handle them. I'm teaching them to come when called. .lol
my neighbors call me the crazy chicken lady and I say why of course I am. I joined backyard chicken to meet others with the same interests in chickens as I have. I am raising Black Jersey Giants, Dark Rhode Island Reds, Buff, Dark, and Light Brahmas, Silver Laced Wyandotte, Easter Eggers (Ameraucana), and Salmon Faverolles in which I'll be breeding to my blue Wheaton Ameraucana (Easter Egger) Rooster, and Black Australorps. I'll also sell eggs for eating too, of course.
