Can anyone please tell me if my Easter Egger is a Roo. I'm totally new to the chicken thing, but I'm guessing yes.. I haven't heard any crowing yet and it's a very quiet bird. But for approx. 4 months old, is Huge. The other birds also seem to either avoid and/or chase it.

Also any ideas on what breed or mix the white hen might be? She is about 9 months old and when I got her as a pullet, was told she was an easter egger. She does have small tufts on her cheeks, but not sure. Her eggs are a light tan, which I realize means little as EE don't always lay blue/green eggs.

Any help or feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Yep, he's definitely a cockerel. The hen looks just like most EEs, thats what I'd call her smile.png

Thank you so much for your quick replies! I knew in my heart that she was a he. He just seems to act different, but very docile. Unfortunately, I am not allowed to keep Roo's where I live, so I will check the forums to see if there is anyone nearby that may want him. Thanks again!!
