Hi all, I had to separate my rooster from my hens to create a "bachelor pad" because he as been getting really aggressive. I blocked off the view of his hens and now he is freaking out, he is making all sorts of sounds I have never heard from him before.

Is this normal? Will he stop? Will he get along with all the new adolescent roosters that are going to be living with him? Is this just a bad idea?

Pretty normal rooster behavior - his every instinct is to be with/breed/protect his flock - nothing in that excuses his over aggressive nature. He may or may not be aggressive towards any cockerels to be placed with him. Do you really need a rooster? If so, one of the younger birds might be a less aggressive choice.
