I have some ducklings that will be four weeks old tomorrow. This past week they (10 girls) got some tub time. My kids were helping me put them back and one of my KCs squirmed away. She went straight through the stair railing, 4 feet or more drop onto the hardwood stairs, then bounced the rest of the way down the stairs to the hardwood floor. Today I was looking at her and her face is really messed up. Her upper bill looks rotated slightly and she has a bad underbite where her upper and lower bill no longer line up. She (appears to be) is eating/drinking/bathing normally, and there's no noticeable swelling. I've more or less decided to keep an eye on her, but I was hoping someone might have a suggestion as to anything I could/should do, any indicators that she's in pain/suffering, or if I should dispatch her now instead of waiting until she has issues later. I feel awful. :-(
