Hi, I have this drake that will be 1 year old in June...I was told he is a hybrid by wildlife rehab who gave the duckling to me last year...I also have a domestic duck I acquired last summer as well.
They have a duck run but I want to let them roam in my garden. I let the domestic one out of run for short time but he wants to go back in the run since hybrid hasn't been out yet for fear he might jump fence to neighbor's yards or even a busy road behind our property.
My question is, do you think he could jump the fences or would he stick around with the domestic one and follow me around the garden? I would be devastated if anything happens to him, he's my baby
I have seen him hop about 3-4 feet up within the run. The run is 6 feet wide, 25 feet long and is covered.
Our property fence is about 5' 10"
