Price of Cackle's Surprise box

Hi, just wanting to know what the price for the surprise box from Cackle's is.I pulled the website up and I think it is $65? A friend of mine swears she paid $39 maybe the difference is the shipping? I haven't ever ordered through the mail chicks, but I sure want to. The best part from us would be the surprise of variety, especially if there's a couple turkeys or ducks, but I know no guarantee. Thank you.

Either your friend got something else, got it on special, got it at the hatchery, or got it several years ago.

Or maybe your surprise box is a whole lot nicer than what your friend got. :) If they are putting more in this year's box, it would/could cost more than what they offered in previous seasons.

There is a +280-page thread about the Cackle Hatchery Surprise box started in 2009, the first post says a price of $39.95, though doesn't mention if that includes shipping or not.  You can read all +280 pages, and see that this assortment has remained the same--40+ birds often including poults, ducklings and goslings, and occasionally including Guinea keets and peachicks.  The only thing that has changed over the past 7 years is the price--which happens to just about everything including the shipping.

I didn't know. I was just putting a theory out there. I love this forum for the information, but having to wade through hundreds and hundreds of pages of posts to find an answer (many of the threads constantly going OT at every turn) it can be very hard to find what you're looking for.
