Its been a while since ive had any poultry because of my living situation going on 5 years now. Im about to get back into it as i have a place i can have birds again, but i dont want just any ol hatchery birds. What are some breeds that are in demand right now that i can work with. I havent been on this site in about as long as i have had birds so I need some suggestions. Im out of the loop. I know this question can be vast but just trying to get some ideas. Any and all suggestions are welcome.

Welcome to BYC. Are you wanting to work with bantams, large fowl, ornamentals? What sort of investment do you want to make in your breeding stock? What general area are you currently in (this will impact the breeds that may or may not be in demand)? Are you planning to be NPIP to allow for shipping of birds ore only to sell locally?
 
Probably start with bantams. And money isn't really a problem, I can figure that out. I'm located in the south eastern part of ohio. (Woodsfield ohio) and yeah I'd like to get npip certified , how does one go about doing that? Never looked into it when I was into birds before.
