I've been raising chickens for almost 20 years and have an order of chicks on it's way right now. It's amazing that even with all my experience ordering chicks, buying chicks at the local Rural King and hatching my own how nervous I get with each new batch! I'm as anxious I ever was, watching the clock, calculating how long it will take from the last post office they left, calling my post office, checking to make sure the brooder is the right temp, etc. Crazy that we all get so worked up over these tiny, peeping balls of fluff!
Hopefully mine will be here today! I ordered the Ornamental Layer from Mcmurray and am looking forward to figuring out what breeds I have!
