I have a silkie pulley probably around 11 months old who's been laying eggs for about 2-3 months now.. She later about 8 then stopped for a few weeks and then laid bout another 7 or so and now I noticed she's laying in the nest and I don't know if she's broody or not.. I had Broodies in the past and I know about the clucking and the puffiness and how they won't get off the nest but she isn't showing those signs.. She won't get off the nest and she slept on it yesterday night and I woke up to still find her on the nest, is she debating or is she really broody?

Without the clucking etc maybe not, it could be that she is feeling under the weather? Does she return immediately back to the nest if you remove her? Guess you could give her an egg and see if she tries to put it under her?

She's currently sitting on a clutch
