Are my eggs fertile? Help!

Hello BYC! I was wondering if anybody could tell me if my eggs are fertile. This is my first time hatching eggs in an incubator and these eggs are 4 days old. Im not sure how to tell if theres an airsack and everything. Please help! Thanks!

I think it's too early to tell. I usually don't see much prior to day 7...I don't throw anything out before day 10 either. Good luck!

My egg looked like that on day 4 too, and continued to get darker, and on the fifth day had veins, so i would wait another day or two and candle again to look for veins just to make sure.

Try candling from the other end - shine the light from the top down through the big end of the egg.  You should be able to see the air cell that way, and possibly see any development.

 

It's early though, so you might wait until day 7.

Ok thanks guys! (: But does egg 3 look like it has a baby chick inside? There's a little black dot and it looks like it could be an eye?

Most likely a meat spot, since there are no veins in that egg (yet).
