BYC Member Interviews - twisted-acres-farm

Wonderful interview. I love yak and always wanted some, yours are good looking. Your springers are really nice too. At some point my husband wants a bird dog but we haven't decided on a breed yet or even how to train them, hopefully it's mostly instinct and easier than training coonhounds.

it is mainly instinct if you get the field line of springers . Mine are taming down nicely . 3 bull calves so far this spring.

Great interview! I had no idea such an active member from this forum lived in the area (I'm from south of Gladstone)...and has yaks!

I read this story and was totally fascinated! Great interview! We don't have a lot of Yaks here in Florida, but the pictures and twisted-acres-farm information was wonderful to read!

thank you. We/I had 4 calves this year and I am in the process of adding another 3 female yaks to the herd towards the end of the month first part of Oct. Have to go to Minnesota to get them.

I don't think that yaks would do real well in the southern part of the county to HOT and HUMID for them with all the fur/hair they have.

No I've seen some different things throughout my life in Florida, but never a Yak for sure! I enjoy your page, your posts and I hope you have a great day and week! Karen

thank you Karen and ditto.

feel free to check out all the yak pictures and the ones of the babies You should be able to do this just click on my name and then view profile and then pictures. Have a Great week.
