The local feed store has a bin of Ameraucana's from Ideal - so Easter Eggers.
They have some light chipmunk colored ones, darker brown ones, some sort of reddish brown and straight up yellow ones (which I'm leaning toward aren't EEs at all, but maybe - no other yellows in this weeks shipment and they didn't look big enough to be last weeks left overs).

So I'm curious - I know lots of you have EEs - what did they look like as chicks and what did they end up looking like as adults?

I had a straight up yellow EE. She's 4 weeks now and feathers are coming in mostly white and buff.

I also had a black EE chick who is feathering in black with rusty streaks along the feather shafts (beautiful!).

The ones that looked more chipmunky (I have four: a lighter one, two medium ones, and one darker one) are coming in various shades of buff, tan, brown, rust but not solid colors...not sure what the pattern is called but it's like a fine barring...and there seems to be multiple colors on each bird in sort of a patchwork.
