Chook house plans for 'Les Poules' - help / feedback for a newbie please!

I'm a bit torn though, I do like the look of the raised coops but I'm wondering if maybe a walk in garden shed style coop would be better for me as in easier to clean (plan to do deep litter), get into to catch chickens, set up brooder areas in the future etc.

If I had found BYC before I built my raised coop I would have built a walk in coop for sure as well as other things I would have done better from the get go instead of having to modify modify modify...

Great looking run @Brahma Chicken5000 exactly the sort of quality look I hope to achieve for ours. Really good idea doing them in panels so that it is easy to move if need be.

Ahh see that is the sort of feedback I'm looking for! Is there anything in particular that you have read to make you feel that way @jthornton ? What are the errors you made (I did read your thread about the nesting boxes being higher than the roosting bars so needing to change stuff around)?
Yes!! Go with a walk in!
OK so I think this is what I want - someone telling me this is the way to go LOL! I think I'm having trouble totally changing my idea from my cute little raised coop into something bigger / more practical. I had a peek at your coop in your floor space article but do you have a thread somewhere about it? How big is it and how do you have the 3 sections that you talk of set out @aart ?

So what should I do - a walk in on my concrete base that I then deep litter on? Run on grass to the side of the coop and then use deep litter when that has died or should there be some other sort of base?

Hard to keep track of it all.....there's SO much!!
I kept/keep a Word doc and a spread sheet to copy and paste notes and links.
Headings (roosts, coops, feeders, etc) help a lot when looking for it later.
That is a great idea! I have already done something similar for my garden (on a huge learning curve as a newbie gardener and now chicken owner!).
