My Pekin Female

Thread Starter
Daisy, has laid 8 eggs, that we have left alone, instead of taking them up.
She doesn't sit on them but they are all nested together.
What to do??

She may or may not try to hatch them. Do you have a male? Statistically pekins aren't broody but mine tried 3 times last year to hatch and I know a few other people with broody pekins so it's a possibility. If you don't want ducklings just take the eggs. If you'd like to eat them you can take them too. She'll likely lay any new eggs in the same spot - just because she's laying them together doesn't mean she plans to hatch, a lot of ducks make a nest and lay all their eggs there smile.png
