AC, Swamp Coolers, Misters, Fans???

I live in Glendale, AZ and have bantam Cochins that I have had for about 4 years and have luckily never lost one to the heat. Since Cochins are a very fluffy and heavily feathered breed that prefers cooler temps I feel I have to help them cope with the heat. During the day I use frozen 2 liter bottles that I put on the ground in the shade for them to rest up against with a small solar fan I found on Amazon an couple years ago blowing on it, two large pans of water (also shaded), and I installed a mister head that I run through my drip system and goes off every two hours which gets the sand just cool enough they like to dig down into it. The unroofed areas are also covered by doubled up sunscreen material I bought in a roll at Home Depot that makes sure the sand does not get hot and bake them from below. It has worked fine so far but since it is supposed to be 120 by Sunday I may have to fill up a few more ice bottles to put in the roosting/nesting area since it won't be cooling off much at night to give them any relief....

Thanks for that PITSNPEEPS, your set up sounds like mine is currently.I did put up the misters but I still need to set up a timer. Do you happen to know any tricks for keeping young chicks cool? They don't have feathers so I can't mist them or have a fan blowing directly on them.I thought frozen bottles might be OK but I'm not sure. I shut the heat lamp off during the day and they still pant. Any ideas would be great, and thanks again.
