Coop bedding/litter options

What lucky birds you will have!

Thanks!! :D I'm super excited! My poor bf.... hahaha. I think he's getting tired of hearing me say how excited I am. :p But he's a good sport. It's finally decent out today... after much rain and cold weather. YUCK. I'm ready for sunshine and warmer days. He had a Dr's appt but I talked to him and he said he wants to work on the coop when he gets home. All that's left is a couple pieces of the walls that he had to cut and putting the plywood and metal on the roof. Oh and the people door. But he said he's really planning on having them IN by this weekend!!! Did I mention I'm SOOO excited!!!! :weee

LOL, ok, I wasn't sure.

But yes, I'm very excited about getting the coop prettied up and getting some plantings going. I also bought 3 packs of different variety of sunflower seeds to plant on the west side of the coop as there is no shade. I figured triple purpose, pretty flowers, shade, and then TREATS for the kids!!!

I have never grown herbs before.. and never had any real interest in doing so... until now.. for my chickens.

lol I've also looked up several articles about sprouts and microgreens. It's all very interesting and sounds easy enough to do with great benefits. So I'll probably try that too.

GREAT idea about sunflowers~~~and mine love sprouts and FF too!

Ohhhhh! Ok.. sorry. I kept thinking FF... wha??? hehe I'm not sure about doing that... it seems trickier. Like I'd have to be really careful not to poison them.

I am gonna check out your link though. Thank you!
