Hello, this will be my first post here and I'm hoping for some advice. I started raising chickens last spring and have really enjoyed it. I incubated my first set of eggs this spring and successfully hatched 14/15 eggs. Our chicks are 3 weeks old now. Last week we bought 6 Cornish rocks from TSC figuring we would give that a try but I noticed that some were wheezy. But I didn't think anything of it. I put them in their own brooder box. But their wheezing got worse, their breathing labored and they just sound bad. And 2 days ago I noticed my other chicks have now started sneezing. I was reading into what could be the problem and I suspect IB which is apparently highly contagious. I know the only way to find out what it really is is to have them lab tested but my concern is if it is IB I can't introduce them to my current flock of laying hens or it will infect them and ruin their egg production so I'm not sure what to do with all the chicks now. I don't want to risk infecting my chickens and I don't want to sell them because then it will be a problem for someone else. Any suggestions?
