Are these BLRW?

I do not want to rush in another thread, so I open a new one.
So, I wanted to get my own hatching eggs out of my three BLRW.
But for some time I am not sure if the girls are both BLRW.
For me, still a beginner, they look different, and I think Lotte might be a Black Yellow Wyandotte.

Perhaps you like to help me.

This is my man. The maybe father of some new chicks.





And these are the two girls: Lotte and Krümel.

I am not sure about Lotte. She is much huger then Krümel, thinks she can eat for two and that doesn´t matter, and has a different lacing.



If both girls are SLRW, can someone tell me the percentage having babies from a black girl and a blue boy? I have read it once, but forgot it, and now I do not find it.

OK, so it looks like you have on your hands one Splash Laced Red Wyandotte, one Golden Laced Wyandotte, and one Red Laced Wyandotte.

Now I don't know how much you've studied up on the blue gene, but I'll give a short explanation here if you haven't. Blue is a diluting gene. Image a piece of black paper; you put one coat of paint on it and you've turned it blue. You put another coat on and it's become a lighter color, splash. This is how it works with the chickens. If the bird is Black, it has received no copies of the Blue gene. If it is Blue, it has recieved one copy of the gene. If it is Splash, it has recieved both available copies of the gene.

Your boy is the Splash Laced Red Wyandotte; he has recieved two copies of the Blue gene.

Your hen Lotte is a Golden Laced Wyandotte; she has recieved no copies and lacks the red enhancing genes that make the BLRs have a much richer red tone to their feathers, and of course she is black and so has recieved zero copies of the blue gene.

Krumel is a Black Laced Red Wyandotte. She does have the red enhancers to make her plumage show that deep, rich coloration, but lacks any copies of the blue gene.

If you were to cross Splash Laced Red X Black Laced Red, you'd get 100% Blue Laced Red offspring. If you were to cross Splash Laced Red X Golden Laced, you'd get 50% blue and 50% black offspring and all would have plumage shaded somewhere between the golden and red colors.

I love them very much. I had a great blue girl for my man, but in fall I got a visit from a hawk and Marnie (my blue one) did not survive that.

I read a lot through the BLRW thread, but I still wasn´t sure about Lotte.
The situation is that Lotte gave me great sized eggs. Krümel just started laying (just got 2 very small eggs from her). I know that the eggs will get bigger but Krümel, in comparison to Lotte, is a much smaller chick, and I really doubt that the eggs will become a good hatching egg size.

Do you really think my man is a Splash? I have taken a look at sooooo many pics here, and I think he could be s light blue.



Sticking to your information, I think I will go with 10 eggs.
7 from Lotte and 3 from Krümel. I don´t mind getting some more black ones, I just wanted to be sure that there will be a change to get some blues.

Sorry, it's been a very busy week and I haven't even been able to get online for days. It's too young to tell for sure, but I think I'm seeing a lot of Blues, maybe IIX and VII are Black. All should have lovely lacing.

Thanks Diva. I have been dealing with the death of my grandfather and a bad cocci outbreak so it has been a hard week. I've finally just had time to sit down tonight. It's good to be back, hopefully things have settled down for the time being.
