Welcome to BYC your ducklings are adorable, looks like you have a Runner going by how the one with it's head in the water is standing does it always stand striaght? and other one could be Pekin can't see it as well. But as far as being house ducks are you going to use diapers on them or just clean up every time they poop?Ducks can be house ducks but they are very messy. Congrats on your lil ones.

They will have diapers and they will also have supervised outdoor time (to many things to eat them) and water time and just hang out in there inside pen time. Right now I just moved them to a larger dog kennel and they seem happy. They don't like being in water at all. They just cheep and flaput and whale till I take them out.
Thank you I can look up how to care for for a runner duck. They are cuties!

Hold on, I only have Runner eggs under some of my Muscovy's so I am not expert. Lets see if someone who is can say for sure. Might be KC too .Looks like your dog is being an LSGD

@CyndiD
   do you think this cutie is a Runner?

It looks like it may be a runner mix, like a pekin or buff and runner mix. the neck does not seem long enough and the body is broad/thick, unlike a runner which are more slim.

these 3 are runner mixes at 3 weeks old. just my non-expert opinion. but thanks for asking me.

the 2 on the left are the 2 in the back in the 1st picture (the 2 facing left)

the duck on the right is the duck in the 1st picture (facing right) the white one.

did this help at all?

So I am so out of the duck loop I didn't even think ducks could be a mix. Are runners smaller? My yellow duck is HUGE next to the non yellow duck.

Also is it normal for dogs to want to just be near the ducks? He let's them hop all over him and he runs to them when theyou cheep.
