HELP NEEDED SOON

hi , i am new here and i have two ducks. Who are round about 4 weeks old. One of them has something wrong with her eyes and fluff around her eyes is kinda sticky which makes her eyes seems popping out.also since one day she is panting alot. I have given her fresh air but she seems to have difficulty in breathing. PLEASE I NEED URGENT HELP AND ADVICE !!!

Could she have gotten in to something toxic? 

 

Can you take photos of her eye?

What kind of bedding do you use? 

 

Have you tried to irrigate it with a saline solution?

Looks like there may be some infection setting in, and I would get the duckling to a vet.

 

Meanwhile, like Kevin565 said, rinse the eye a few times a day with mild saline.

 

Difficulty breathing - does she have access to water to rinse her head frequently?

 

I would get her into a tub of brooder-temperature water - at 4 weeks, I think water that's 75 to 80F would be fine, no soap, just let her wash up and snoot water through her nares.

 

I would also put a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar per quart of drinking water in their drinking water - don't use a galvanized metal container for their water if you use ACV, it can leach metal.
