Hen or rooster

OMG, so I think I made a mistake in trying to make them as tame as possible. what you say sounds very logical to me. i will handle them with distance in future following your advice.
it seems to be realy difficult to pull the right ones.
I just have a little problem. I have to leave to Europe by the end of April and will be back by the end of June. The chicks will be 18 weeks when I come back. a neighbour will look after them while I am gone.
Do you think it is safe to leave the 4 young roosters with the 2 young girls together till they are 18 weeks old ( that is when I will be back) or would you recommend to say good bye to 3 of them by the end of April at an age of 10 weeks.
Sorry I am asking so many questions but I realy appreciate your advice. thank you so much :)

If they aren't making trouble before you leave they should be okay. Some start to mate earlier than others. Sometimes what happen if one will mate a hen than they all take turns on the same hen. That one makes me a bit irritated.

I will often pull the bad ones, but keep them in a separate pen. Sometimes removing some make others act worse, so I play musical roosters until I find one I like. Otherwise I would keep the one you like, leaving it with the girls a bit and see if it works.

Have fun on your trip, your chickens will be okay.
