i noticed this 2 days ago, she is almost a "teen"
one of my Buff Orpingtons won't open her eye, the other one is fine. i forced the eye open just a bit, it looks fine and there is no blood (looks healthy) she just won't open it. should i be concerned? this has never happened before in my flock. when she was little her eye was fine.

I would use some saline or lubricant eye drops in the eye in case it is irritated. Does she have any weakness of her legs or wings? How is the air circulation in the coop? Ammonia odors and dust can cause eye irritation.

I just cleaned the coop out, and i also noticed it before they went in to the coop when she was running around in an area in the yard, her legs and wings are fine. the circulation is okay, but i can open some of the windows if that might help.

If you think that it could be an eye infection if it persists or there is drainage, use some Terramycin eye ointment or Vetericyn eye gel (ask for them at a feed store or TSC,) or plain Neosporin ointment can also be used, twice a day.
