Someone has got to know why my chick smells sour

Amanda1 did you ever figure this out? What happened to your chick? I have the exact same thing happening. The chick is eating,pooping, growing, and active. But she smells bad. Just wondering what you learned.
 
I never found out what caused it, but I can only guess something in her crop? I used raw ACV in their water, one TB to a quart of water while she smelled. It went away, but came back again, then went away for good. Don’t give up on your chick! Mine is now a very healthy, great egg layer and going on three years old!

Don’t give up. No one could answer my question, but whatever it was, she outgrew it. I wonder if she could have had something stuck in her crop, that finally passed through when she grew bigger? I will never know, but I’m so glad I still have her. She’s one of my best hens, three years later!
 
Thank you. She is still fine. I used acv but have stopped. She still smells somewhat but is much better. No idea what her deal is/was. Good to hear your girl is well!
 
How is she now? It was a couple of years ago mine had the issue, so I don’t remember specifics like if the smell lingered a bit or how long it took to go away.
