Hi all. I recently have been reading about quail and thinking that I may want to get some in the near future. I am looking for some extra information, I'm assuming there's already been threads like this before so even if someone could point me to the right thread, that'd be awesome.
The questions I have are...
I live in erie county, pa. I need a breed that will do well in our cold winters(they will be in a barn put of the elements but need to be able to withstand cold)
I am looking for a breed that is a dual purpose birds. I read that their eggs are very nutritious and my boyfriend also said the meat is delicious.
Also, anyone recommend a good place to order chicks or eggs?
If I do get them, I would like to incubate their eggs and keep a cycle going.
Any extra info would be great!
Ps.. everyone here is wonderful!!
