The first 3 pictures are my 5 babies at 2, 3 and 4 weeks old and the rest are from today (6 weeks old) as of tomorrow! This is the first time I've raised chickens before & am needing help with genders! I am only asking for opinions / guesses - hence the title! I am awear that silkies are very hard to sex which is why I need all the help I can get! I will update this post every week or so to show progress on their growth & hopefully sooner than later reveal their true genders!! Thanks so much in advanced everyone

I'm not sure anyone is seeing my post? This is the first time using this website & posting a thread on here so if you can see my initial first comment please let me know!

Thank you!

Hi I'm not an expert on sexing but with silkies it is usually the comb that gives there gender away so keep and eye on that as they grow older. Here is a picture of my silkie roo at 4 weeks so you can compare

I'm guessing folks aren't responding because they simply don't know. Your chicks are too young to sex, some Silkies can be months old before they're identifiable. Sometimes you get one with a huge comb that makes itself know early, but that isn't typically the case. Especially if your Silkies are good quality, which yours appear to be. My roosters have small combs, and most bearded birds do, and that makes them difficult to tell apart as far as gender goes. Try posting them again when they're around 8-12 weeks, we MIGHT be able to tell you something then...sorry we couldn't be more help. That's just the way it goes with this breed, they teach you what patience is all about!

Thank you very much! I will keep the pictures updated!! My only concern is we are only wanting hens because we live in a neighborhood and have limited space so are wanting to keep the girls for fresh eggs/pets. We are building a coop next week which will be big enough for 4-6 birds so I've been hoping my babies turn out to be hens but I have a feeling they're going to be all roosters!

ive tried researching by looks but it is very hard for me to distinguish between Roos/hens even after seeing pictures of others!

It looks like the second pic down, the first white one pictured, is a pullet. She looks JUST like my silkie female did at the age! With a nice round crest and no streamers, I have no idea on the others yet, but they are all SO cute!

I will definitely continue to watch this thread because I want to figure out what they're all going to be. Praying for as many hens as possible for you! BTW what colors do you have? They are all beautiful!
