What breed of ducklings?

I guess we'll just see when they grow up. For now I'm just glad they seem to like me and are happy and healthy--and yes, adorable!
My tsc had all the same color ducks as mine and I don't recall there even being a sign other than the ducks aren't just Easter pets sign

When the employee walked off an old farmer standing beside me laughed and said "the yellow are Peking, the yellow that looked dusty were Khaki Campbell's and the third group which was even darker, I think if I remember correctly he said Rouens or Runners. Then he winked at me. LOL I wasn't really paying that much attention except I asked him to point out the Khaki Campbells to me as I was thinking of getting two. But decided against it. Of course this was at the TSC closest to me. But stuff I keep reading and hearing tells me that the employees mostly have no idea, except for exceptions here and there. Whatever you got they are ADORABLE!

I am no expert but that farmer was only partly correct as well. If you see what looks like a dusty yellow duckling, they are more likely welsh Harlequins, if you want Khaki Campbells, look for ducklings that are a rich chocolate brown all over and have dark almost black feet. Just a heads up if you change your mind. Look for one like the little guy in the very front here. That is my Khaki Campbell.

Actually....that is exactly what he said. The darker ones like you have pictured were khaki Campbells. The yellow were Peking and the others I don't even remember now what he said. Oh, yeah...I think he said there were a few mallards in the bin because someone standing there said immediately, "they fly away" LOL It was interesting to listen to the conversation but I quickly figured out that he was the only one who really had a clue. :) Thanks for the heads up! I think I keep staring at too many duckling pics because I want them so badly and they all start to run together. LOL
