Hello and Good Morning from Estill County,Kentucky, Where the Bluegrass kisses the Mountains. I just moved here from South Florida{Broward County} Where if one kept poultry It required a Fort Knox type of enclosure. Due to varmits, Island Folks wanting to do voo doo with them, pythons snakes and the like. I have Family here in KY, is why I am here. I focus on what I get to do, the beauty around me . All my life, I have had birds of some sort. The Joe 'Bag of Donuts" people cant understand or so narrow minded as to even consider that a Breed of Chicken can tame to compare with a cat or a parrot. plus I can direct their natural behavior into a past time at old folks homes . Right now I have 4 White Silkie juvenile babies. I bought them under the guise of them being Banties, along with 2 Buff Orps, which are NOT Bantams { feet of a T-Rex) a week later I got 3 Black SEX linked which are not bad but fly more and farther than my parakeets, where as the Buffs and Silkies are WAY more laid back . Anyway I hope to meet some other Bird people so I don't feel like I am the only one.
